MEET RABBI DR. MOSHE MEIROVICH
Our current rabbi, part-time, has come out of retirement to us. He hails originally from Toronto and a full and successful career as an educator, cantor, and spiritual leader of congregations in both Canada and the United States. Rabbi Meirovich has been a great addition to our community! He has enhanced our lives as our part-time leader because he comes to us with an impressive wealth of knowledge and experience. While serving our congregation, he completed his PhD and was presented with his degree at a ceremony many of us witnessed from Spertus College in Chicago. His dissertation centred on an in-depth comparison in historical background and liturgical precendent of the currently used prayer books of the Conservative and Orthodox movements. Equally importantly, he brings with him a compassionate understanding of Jewish community life and which provides support and helps expand that life in our community. His services and Torah study sessions always draw solid attendance and are meaningful and enriching. We continue to enjoy his service to B’nai Israel.
