Testimonial: This was the perfect space for a large rehearsal. The set-up was excellent and the staff were generous, friendly, and accommodating. The coffee/tea service was great and the cookies were delicious. Thank you Congregation B’nai Israel.D.M. – Chorus Niagara – February, 2018 |
CBI presented THE PENINSULA ORCHESTRA in our Auditorium the last Sunday in May
where a Concert in Memory of Dr. Ivan Samson was held:
Last Sunday was a banner day for our congregation and its members. To begin with, we had another Yiddish class with Rav Bob and a showing of a very interesting but rather dated The Jazz Singer about the life of Al Jolson. We had 17 in attendance and enjoyed watching the movie on our new screen using our new laser video projector. It was like heaven compared to what we used to rely on. Then there was a practice of our new choir which added two new voices to its sound with the addition of new members Carl and Eileen. What excitement when Yiddish folks left and choir folks came in. Then in the late afternoon, our auditorium was once again the venue of choice for The Peninsula Orchestra under the baton of Maestro George Cleland. We had almost one hundred folks in the audience and another in front. The concert ended with a rousing performance of a concerto by Schubert. Our thanks go to all the organizers but especially our faithful building superintendent, Tim Bishop, who worked tirelessly all day and into the evening. Well done everyone!
