Corner of the library showing the fiction collection.
In 1955, a year after the dedication ceremony for the building of the new Jewish Community Center, a library was created in the building that included hundreds of volumes of Judaica, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as a collection of children’s books belonging to the congregation. All of the books in the original collection were donated by members of the community.
Established as the Sisterhood Center library, the library has a comprehensive selection of old and current books of art, biographies, political issues, fiction, history, humorus as well as religious texts. We are in the midst or renovating our collection and hope to bring about a book club using our new additions.
