Kitchen and Catering

CBI has a decades-long tradition of providing our congregation and guests with a wide variety of catered and home-cooked meals and baked goods. Our group of professionals and dedicated volunteers regularly prepare delicious dishes and homemade challahs for our weekly Shabbat kiddushim. Our facilities are used by the CBI Chesed committee to help prepare Meals of Consolation and holiday event dinners. And for special events such as Purim and Chanukah, our kitchen team prepares homemade hamantaschen, cookies, latkes and more. CBI also proudly hosts our resident cake baker extraordinaire, Steve Silver, who creates many delectable desserts for birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. Our kitchen has also been used as an incubator for a start-up baking business which has thrived and since moved to a more commercial location. CBI will consider further such rental requests.

The kitchen is strictly kosher and is located in the CBI Community Centre, adjacent to the auditorium where many parties and celebratory events are held. It is available for rental upon request, includes plenty of storage space, and is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, utensils and cookware, including:
