Mission

Congregation B’nai Israel is a fully egalitarian Conservative synagogue located in the heart of the Niagara Region. We are inclusive in all aspects of synagogue life, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ability or background. Our community is devoted to the enrichment of our Jewish heritage, values, education and community involvement, sharing in the joy of your simchas and supporting you in times of need. We are a welcoming organization that embraces the diversity of individuals while maintaining our long historical roots in our traditional Jewish practices.

Our mission is as follows:

1. To be a place for Jewish worship – throughout the life cycle – and for religious observances in the Niagara Region.
2. To meet the spiritual, educational and caring needs of our members and their families.
3. To be the center of social and cultural Jewish life supported by our community activities and many volunteers.
4. To ensure that our future Jewish community grows and flourishes through legacies provided by our current and past family members.
